Good news for our lakes. You may remember with all the concern in the Metropolitan area about the affect of PFAS (Forever Chemicals) on the lakes and streams, the City Council contracted with WSB, the City’s engineering firm, to conduct PFAS testing of all three lakes, which was done on 8-8-2024.
We have just recently received their extensive report.
We are happy to report that the levels of PFAS found in all the fish samples in all three lakes were below 10, which means, per the Great Lakes Consortium for Fish Consumption Advisors, that the eating of all fish is unrestricted. An excellent bill of health for our lakes!
