Musser Park Restoration Project
Â
Update September 28, 2026
Â
We are rapidly moving forward to a vote by the City Council to approve the Musser Park Restoration Project (MPRP). We need to show community support for this effort, so please plan to attend the October 13 City Council meeting at 7 pm at First Calvary Baptist Church. You can tell a story about how you or your family has used the park; ask any questions about the project or process; and show how much the MPRP means to our community. A MN Land Trust representative will be in attendance to answer any and all of our questions regarding this project. The MN Land Trust has committed more than $100,000 to restore Musser Park to the oak savanna and prairie with diverse native wildflowers that existed more than 50 years ago. We want them to see our interest and express our appreciation!
Â
If approved at the October 13, 2026, City Council meeting, the MN Land Trust will begin the contractor bidding process leading to a start of woody invasive removal as early as January/February 2027.
