Starting in the middle of April, crews will begin road construction and bridge repairs on Highway 5 near Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. The work includes full directional closures of Highway 5, as well as directional closures of I-494 between the Airport and Highway 52 over several weekends. Construction will conclude in October 2020. Once this project begins, it will be disruptive to area businesses, commuters, visitors and likely many Sunfish Lake residents.
