Highway 110 name changes in 2018

The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) has decided to change the name of Highway 110 to Highway 62, effective summer 2018. The reason for this change is to provide clarity to motorists by having one route, one number on this east/west road. MnDOT has received numerous complaints from motorists not knowing which road they are on in this area, specifically on Highway 55 between Highway 62 and Highway 110 near the MSP airport. This change will also allow all exits along this corridor to have a consistent numbering convention, to ease driver confusion. Highway 110 Construction Project

Road opening details

Good news—Westbound Hwy 110 officially re-opened to traffic at 5:10 p.m. last night between I-494 in Inver Grove Heights and I-35E in Mendota Heights.

The road, which has been closed since August 6 of this year, is now a smoother, safer road with longer turn lanes and new Reduced Conflict Intersections (RCI).

Thank you for the patience during this closure.

Project work on Hwy 110 will continue for the next couple of weeks with alternating lane closures in both directions, as median and shoulder work continues.

Note: The city of West St. Paul is continuing watermain installation on Charlton St. on the north side of Hwy 110. Access to Charlton St. from Hwy 110 will remain closed for approximately 6 more weeks.

More about this project
